CLAY BOWLS

The bowl is a container for a clay mask, made from clay itself. The clay is bisquite fired on 1000 ˚C. It stays porous and absorbs water in its thick walls. When the bowl is soaked with water, the outside dries first and due to the vaporisation the content stays cool and humid.

The bowl is a metaphor for the skin. You have to keep it wet from the outside, that the face-mask inside stays humid. The skin works on the same principle. It needs moist from outside, to bring the water it lost back to the inside and that it stays humid.
